Oooh, 1st Class! Nice! That's a lucky score for the holidays, eh? Unheard of!

And considering I sometimes go to 3 grocery stores in the same day on a weekly basis, I don't consider that strange at all. Grocery store = Disneyland to me.

Glad you enjoyed your time at home!

I love your blog! Sounds like we have a bit in common in the foodie department, but you are a few steps ahead of me since I still break down on the sugar and grains sometimes!

You know, the funny thing is, I think you come into your own as a cook, no matter what diet you follow. When I first started out dairy-free and whole foods many years ago, it seemed like the food I made tasted "healthy." But as I have settled into things and become more comfortable, I actually receive even more compliments and recipe requests for the food I prepare than in prior years (and this is from people who think cheese deserves its very own food group at the bottom of the pyramid). Perhaps as a culture we just become a bit too comfortable sprinkling cheese on everythings and tossing in some sugar to make it "taste good." Just a thought :)

OH MY GOD, your dad in the Communist Party shirt is AWESOME. I got it for Richard for Giftmas, too! I'm so glad they restocked it as I've wanted to get it for him for nearly 4 years.

Did you go to Sweet Tomatoes/Souplantation? I remember going there years ago thinking it was SOOO healthy but after I ate tons of creamy soups, pastas and frozen yogurt with oreos, I realized I was wrong. Now I'll go if a friend wants to (large salads are always welcome, but I'd like them better if they had hummus on them!) but $9 to eat unlimited salad is kind of ridiculous.

So glad you got to go back home!
