They won’t be great, but my father is sending me his old Leica point and shoot, which will be better than the one I am currently using. Anything is better than a camera on my phone ;-)
I started off my day with another big bowl of Kasha, this time I added Mimiccreme coffee creamer to make it um…creamier, and extra messy with more peanut butter.

I also have about 5 cups of tea, and then an orange. Currently I am stuffed with leftovers from last night’s Veggie Thai Curry. I added some more broccoli and even more red curry paste, and yeah, it really hit the spot on this drizzly day.
My belly is protruding a bit painfully right now ;-)
Tonight I go to see my sugarist Jill at Smooth Sugaring Studio, who I absolutely adore…and people it is HIGH time too. Things aren’t pretty.
OHHHH! See that up there? No, no…to the right…I am now a Foodbuzz featured publisher :-) I don’t quite have the hang of it all yet, but I am working on it!
It’s football season, so Matt spends his Saturdays watching all the college football he can get on his gorgeous TV. Football (and sports in general) aren’t my thing (that is an understatement), so I will happily be working at Healeo making raw pies to sell. I have done apple and pumpkin thus far, and the Pumpkin was such a hit a customer has ordered a whole one for Thanksgiving already. Justin even decided to take orders and so I will be a raw pie making machine soon enough. This weekend I am doing a couple of pumpkin, and then also will be trying out something new.
I know Matt doesn’t read my blog that often, so I will let you all in on a little secret I have going. This Saturday is the anniversary of our first date, and I am pretty excited about it. I don’t have anything huge planned, but I am going to make him a (cooked) pumpkin pie and I have a couple of little gifts for him as well. I am fairly certain he doesn’t even remember, and so I am going to get a kick out of surprising him.
Right now he might even get more excited if I surprise him with a big jar of Vegan Parm than by his other gifts ;-) poor boy has completely run out.
Diana is making me wish I juiced veggies more often. As it stands I have a cruddy juicer that my mother got at Goodwill. We only use it when making this amazing soup (Dr. Fuhrman’s Anti-Cancer Soup), and usually I don’t even juice the carrots and celery like he says to, as I cannot bear to throw away all the fiber. I am not a huge fan of juicing in general, as I feel eating the whole fruit or vegetable is better for you. However those pulp crackers make me wish I had some pulp lying around! I do on occasion have some random veggie juice, but mostly in the form of a wellness tonic or in a soup. I only do fruit juice when I know it is a treat, and it is FULL of sugar and the whole fruit does SO much more for you. I await my Vita-Mix :-) Perhaps I can still make pulp crackers, I will just have to let them dehydrate for a longer time.
I do hope you all are clicking away at Chocolate Covered Katie, I know I am! I love a good cause! Katie I hope you raise a lot!
I am still on the hunt for the elusive PB&J Lara bar and the German Chocolate Cake Jocalat. Yes I know I could make my own (and I have) but right now I just want one in a wrapper ;-) Just to say I did it.
I haven’t been doing my yoga like I should, but the past couple of weeks have been really rough for me. I battle anxiety, and I just needed to be in a safe mode. I did take time to meditate, and that seems to be helping some. Long walks helped a lot too, but sadly the weather took a turn today.
I feel like I need to kick my exercise up a notch, but I get a little down because I know I won’t see “results” in the areas I want to, as they are covered with “excess” skin. It should be enough for me that I am active, but sometimes I just get in the dumps. I promise I will snap out of it ;-) I just need to get to it!
I need more raw veggies in my house, I think it’s going to be a hummus night ;-)
