It's backyard eggs or nothing for me - I will never buy eggs from the store no matter what the label says. I actually appreciate the opportunity to respect the hens' natural cycles, including downtime when they're not inclined to lay very much. That's what chickens do, and we should let them do it instead of treating them like machines by starving them to force them to lay. Could not agree with you more about the eggs.
